Starting in Barcelona, we visit the village of Colioure, where Matisse and other Fauvists were thrilled with the light, and travel through the Languedoc-Roussillon to visit the fortified bastide Carcassone, to Avignon, home of the Pope's Palace during the Middle Ages.
