I have found myself in Paris during the middle of fashion week, took mass with the Crown of Thorns at Notre Dame and watched the parade that kicked off the World Cup. I've seen masterpieces by Van Gogh, Toulouse-Latrec, Renoir, Rodin, Picasso, Warhol and Dali. I've stayed in Montmartre and walked the streets of Degas, Utrillo and Modigliani, seen their work and where they lived.
I've walked among the standing stones in Carnac, climbed to the top of Mont St. Michel, stayed outside the walls of Carcassonne, spent the night in Collioure, home of the Fauves, watched dancing horses in Provins, and wandered the ruins of the Templar Commandery at Gisors.
I have visited beautiful cathedrals and beautiful remnants in Rouen, Tours, Chartres, and Avignon. I've paid homage to the great men and women of France, from Napoleon to Josephine Baker, Madame Curie and Victor Hugo, and the heroes and heroines who lay in Pere La Chaise.
