This tour introduces you to Paris where you'll visit major monuments and museums, learn to use the metro and how to make the most of your visits, even if you don't speak French! (Not to worry, I do that for you.) If you book your flight for an early arrival, sleep a little on the plane, you end up with most of a free day in Paris. We'll usually take a walk around the neighborhood (5th arrondissement), visit the Ile de la Cite, and enjoy a bite to eat. I'll keep you up until early evening so you'll have a good night's sleep, and will be ready to hit the ground running the next morning on Paris time. During the week we will visit the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Musee d'Orsay, Notre Dame and the Arc de Triomphe. We'll also stroll down the Champs-Elysee, visit the giant flea market and Sacre Coeur in Monmartre.
We'll meet in the hotel lobby after breakfast, take off walking or using the metro, and visit one or two places a day. We 'll run into street vendors selling books, outdoor markets, and other outdoor delights. Towards the end of the week, there's usually a free day or afternoon when you can do some exploring on your own. A perfect time to cruise the Seine on a bateau-mouche, or enjoy cafe life in Place Mouffetard or Place St. Michel, or just stroll the streets of Paris.
There are over 120 museums in Paris, so if there is something that you must see, let's make it a reality for you while we're there. We can at least try! Whether you want to visit Roland Garros or the catacombs, you can always squeeze it in on Your First Trip to Paris.
